Meet the Daniels

Decades ago, Suly Daniel’s parents left Mexico for the United States with the goal of providing for their family. They wanted their children to have opportunities, such as education, career, and home ownership.

“This is the land of opportunity,” Suly said. “And my parents and I genuinely believe that.” Suly and her husband Manaen were married in May of 2016 and became first-time homeowners in June of 2018.

Not only is Suly a Southern Homes home owner, she also serves as the Warranty Manager. As a benefit, Southern Homes employees may build a home at a discounted rate.

“Not every builder allows its employees to build a home,” Suly continued. “We probably would have gotten into a home at some point, but maybe not a new home.”

With home ownership, Suly feels that her parents are able to see their dream realized in her and her husband.

“I just feel pride,” Suly explained. “My parents can see that it was worth them leaving their parents and sacrificing so much to come here for my siblings and me.”

Now, Suly and Manaen enjoy having a home full of family members for Saturday morning breakfasts and lunches after church. They all fellowship around the large and open kitchen island – one of Suly’s favorite features in her home.

Being a part of the behind-the-scenes work at Southern Homes has allowed Suly to feel even more confident in her new home.

“I experience on a daily basis how much effort everyone at Southern Homes puts into getting the home owner into their dream home,” Suly affirmed. “We are all part of this moving body, and everyone takes their role very seriously – not just with my house, but with all homes.”
