Finding the perfect fit for a growing family

After waiting for just the right time, the Walker family decided to take the leap and build their dream home in Winter Haven. Samantha Walker and her husband, Cornelius, knew exactly what style of home they were looking for, which is what led them to Southern Homes. In addition, they wanted something spacious and open for their growing family.

“We looked into multiple builders and didn’t find exactly what we were looking for, but, as soon as we visited a few Southern Homes’ model centers, we knew they were the builder for us,” Samantha said. “Style is important to me, and I love all the options Southern Homes offers.”

The Walkers were referred to Southern Homes by close friends who were very pleased with their home purchase. Their New Home Specialist, Janet Backman, ensured the beginning stages of the process were seamless.

“Janet made the sales process very smooth.” Samantha added. “My husband and I both have very busy work schedules, and Janet would go out of her way to come closer to us to help pick out options and finalize all the details.”

Establishing new traditions in a new home

Once construction began, their Personal Builder, Carson, took over. He kept them in the loop and well-informed of all the stages of the construction process.

Now that the Walker Family is moved in and settled, they declare the kitchen the heart of their home.

“Everything goes down in the kitchen,” Samantha said. “This is where we cook, eat, spend family time, and do homework.”

Samantha, Cornelius, and their three children have established many family traditions in their new Southern Home. Family gatherings on Sundays, making homemade pizza, and movie nights with popcorn from their own personal popcorn machine, are just a few of the memories being made in their new dream home.
